Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: The Leon Family Story

The Leon's daughter- only 4 years old - is a playful little girl whose bright brown eyes and energetic smile bring joy to everyone around her. In many ways, she is a typical toddler.

She adores drawing and playing with dolls.  And she loves her dad and calls him her best friend. The Leon family are extraordinary survivors. At just two and a half years old, Maria’s daughter has persevered through more challenges than most of us face in a lifetime.

In 2016, Maria’s daughter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. At only 2 years old, Maria’s daughter was rushed to QEH Hospital for life-saving care. Maria and her husband were reassured by the excellence and compassion of the doctors and nurses during this difficult time.
